Anti-fascist news
« on: June 12, 2015, 03:27:43 PM »
I will collect news stories here, as an alternative to the highly one-sided russophobe propaganda spewed here and elsewhere in the western media. This will of course be a very unpopular thread, but nevertheless a necessary balance to the constant anti-Russian sentiments that are in such vogue in the western nations these days.

Personally, as many of you know, I am a westerner myself and there is plenty of things in Russia (and Ukraine) that I have seen that needs improvement. But isn't that true of every nation and political system? The difference is that westerners are as a Whole under the illusion that they alone represent the correct viewpoint and that "underdeveloped" nations needs to take Our position. Well, in my opinion that viewpoint is every day less true as the western world sink deeper into the mud morally and politically.

War on Donbass Resumes, Western Media Remains Silent
« Reply #1 on: June 12, 2015, 03:29:08 PM »
The resuming of US-backed shelling of civilians in Donbass:

"The recent shelling of Donetsk and surrounding areas, carried out by Kiev’s military forces, has effectively ended the ceasefire and whatever illusions still remained of the Minsk 2 agreements. While there had been instances of violence before that of recent days, the level of intensity and bloodshed has undoubtedly escalated.

Although the Ukrainian military and Nazi paramilitary units have been targeting civilians – a flagrant war crime by any measure – there is a near total media blackout in the West. Meanwhile, the United States continues to argue that the “overwhelming majority of ceasefire violations” are as a result of anti-Kiev rebel activity, despite providing no evidence to substantiate these utterly false claims. Indeed, in the midst of an ongoing bloody war waged by Kiev against the people of Donbass, Washington continues to hold up President Poroshenko and his government of oligarchs and fascists as a force for peace."

Eric Draitser is an independent geopolitical analyst based in New York City, he is the founder of StopImperialism.org and OP-ed columnist for RT, exclusively for the online magazine “New Eastern Outlook”.

The absolute best source on the Ukrainian conflict is VICE news.  A Western source.  With a Russian born American reporter.  It was the first to report, and it has remained at the forefront.  It is also neutral, something that cannot be stated about your sources.

Later: is it okay now?

Well now, how about that !! I heard stories that Azov battalion leaned a bit Nazi but I thought those were all lies.
At least this is a start. Thanks Darth!

Thanks Boe, I checked out several of the stories.  The reporter appears very neutral.  He asks questions where you would expect some bad reactions, surprised he did so given his location.  The lack of food is astounding.

Vice News is effectively a high quality source of informations. I pray for this guy to stay alive because he has gone everywhere under the shelling. He took a lot of risks.

Ukraine is not, nor has it been, the top priority of the US.  If it had been a top priority, the US would have handled things much differently and the US would have an active presence in Ukraine.

Contrasting that, Ukraine is certainly one of the two top priorities of Russia. If the Russians put the same amount of effort into building roads and increasing productivity in agriculture that they do on vilifying the current leadership of Ukraine, then the Russian world would be totally different.

Yes, because as goes Slovakia, so goes Europe.

Slovakia was one of the lessor of the countries mentioned...some of the other European countries mentioned are much more significant.

And in a handful of replies, you got a mod threat/edit, accusations of conspiracy sites and pollution with western propaganda. Here they will drown out your topic with white noise and/or find another way to make it go away.

Yes, nothing that wasn't expected. But in all fairness, the mod thing wasn't one-sided as the rules apply to everybody, I fixed it and all okay.

But the other Things, yes, some can't stand to see anything from the opposite side and will go to great lengths to try and get rid of it. Feel free to post here Manny. A few doses of truth will do them good.
