By measured, I meant their response will not be directed solely at the killers.  Nope.  It will be indiscriminate bombing (as the Russians have already done), which has a disproportionate effect on innocent civilians.

Your argument has no basis in fact.

What portion of France was ever historically Muslim? What part of France was Muslim
in the 1500's? 1700's? 1900's? the 1930's? none of it was. However parts of what is
now Russia were Muslim in the 1500's before they became part of Russia.

France became part Muslim because they allowed the immigration of millions of
Muslims into France.

Russia became part Muslim because they annexed Muslim areas into Russia.
The end result may be the same however. There are idiots like Obama who
think that the US should repeat the mistakes of France.

I'm noticing on my Facebook page all sorts of rancid things are being said regarding Muslims.   I don't see it that way though, I don't think mainstream Muslims are a cancer, they are a group that is often vilified.  What is it that brings us up to our neck in their country's to begin with?  Why could they not be permitted to live and/or fight without world powers making it much worse?  I think the answer is obvious.

I really thought much better of you, mendeleyev.  Do you drink a litre of vodka every day?  Do you always do all the other "cultural" things which Russians do?  My personal beliefs restrict me from eating and drinking certain things - should I be forced to drink alcohol when I travel to the FSU just because everyone else does?

I've had a few Lebanese ladies in my classes that were mainstream Muslims...stunning  attractive (and fashionable) they are.

The characters from the Middle East do have something in common--an ideology stemming from a religion that teaches it is okay to kill those who refuse to convert. Not only okay, but promises rewards in "paradise" for doing so.
