Beach brawl blamed on Burkini ban now blamed on Muslim men trying to claim beach A VIOLENT flare-up linked to France’s burkini ban was today blamed on Muslim men who tried to ban locals from an area of beach.Residents of Sisco, in the French island of Corsica, claimed that three men of Moroccan descent tried to ‘privatise’ the beach they were on by lobbing stones and vile insults at anyone trying to enter.
Three brothers of Moroccan origin and two villagers were arrested yesterday in connection with what some French media are calling a ‘burkini brawl’

Italians say NO to plans for mosque next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa HUNDREDS of people have signed a petition against the construction of a mosque near the Tower of Pisa meaning a referendum will decide whether the religious building will be built.A referendum will decide whether a mosque is to be built by the Tower of Pisa
Yesterday, 1,800 signatures were collected against the Islamic place of worship - the number needed for a vote to take place.
Italian journalist and politician Magdi Allam called the referendum “the Italian revolution” and he said Pisans did not expect to get 1,800 signatures.
Vice-chairman of the committee against the construction of the new mosque, Gianluca Gambini, said: “And we will not stop here - because we expect to get to a higher number of signatures, at least two thousand, to avoid problems with the council.

End of the scam called the EU. End of Europe - probably not. Rise of nationalism - very likely.

What's truly needed now is a little bit of nationalism, and a lot of intolerance for terrorism and the Muslim agenda, plus the end of political correctness (which unfortunately will not happen). May they rot in hell right next to Allah.

Strange stuff about the 'burkini' in France...

The mayor of Cannes is going trigger-ban happy by curtailing the right to swim while covered on the French Riviera. The ruling states: “Beachwear that ostentatiously displays religious affiliation, when France and places of worship are currently the target of terrorist attacks, is liable to create risks of disrupting public order.”

Looks like PC done in reverse there.
The 1920's swimming garb isn't obscene  ...it just looks stupid.

Angela Merkel's German conservative coalition backs plan to ban Muslim women wearing veils  Updated about 2 hours ago
German chancellor Angela Merkel addresses journalists to discuss the so-called Brexit referendum at the Chancellery. height=227 Photo: Chancellor Merkel's interior ministers will later campaign for greater security measures. (AFP: John MacDougall)   Related Story: 'It's just a swimsuit': Australian burkini designer mystified by ban  Related Story: Merkel moves to integrate new arrivals   Map: Germany   German Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives have agreed that Muslim women should be banned from wearing the face veil in schools and universities and while driving, Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere says.  Key points:
  • Tougher security measures to include more police, greater public area surveillance, partial burqa and niqab ban
  • Garments suggest women are inferior, "does not fit with our liberal-minded society", conservatives say
  • Women to show face while driving, in schools, universities, public office, court
The move follows an influx last year of more than 1 million mainly Muslim refugees from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and rising public concern after two Islamist attacks and a shooting rampage by a mentally unstable teenager.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday refugees had not brought terrorism to Germany, adding that Islam belonged in the country as long as it was practiced in a way that respected the constitution.More than a million people fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere arrived in Germany last year. The mood towards them has soured after a spate of attacks on civilians last month, including three carried out by migrants. Two of those attacks were claimed by the Islamic State militant group."The phenomenon of Islamist terrorism, of IS, is not a phenomenon that came to us with the refugees," Merkel said at an election campaign event for her Christian Democrats in the eastern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ahead of a regional vote on Sept. 4. Merkel said many people had traveled from Germany to Syria for training with Islamist militants. In June Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said a total of more than 800 were believed to have gone to Syria and Iraq.

It greatly pains me to see how easily led some folk are by media articles.

I KNOW folk who have fled Syria and  35 years ago - Iran ... They were successful in their home nations and will be / are successful in their adopted nations.

Many of these migrants are single men who amassed enough money to pay to be smuggled into Europe - hoping to bring their families - to make them a better life.

It is SO easy for the likes of 'IS' to prey on the antipathy experienced by Europeans - shocked by the vast numbers.

I didn't hear too many Brits wanting to 'repatriate' all Irish folk to Ireland when a handful of nutters thought violence would be about a united Ireland - yet I constantly read ignorant people quoting hysterical bollox - which plays RIGHT into the hands of IS who seek polarisation and mistrust ..

Many of our nations helped create / failed to stop wars that have caused families to seek better lives.

Not sure what that means. Articles are how people find out stuff.
Events are covered up or not reported so that people are not led to believe stuff.

Jewish man stabbed in France, attacker shouts 'Allahu Akhbar' Published time: 19 Aug, 2016 11:14

A Jewish man has been stabbed by a Muslim in Strasbourg, France. He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition, while the perpetrator was arrested. Police say the incident is not terrorism-related and that the attacker is suffering from psychiatric issues. The attack took place at around 11:00am local time (09:00 GMT). The man, named as Mr. Levy, an Orthodox Jew, was assaulted just outside his home around 500 meters from the main synagogue in the city, his friend Mendel Samama told RT.
“He was walking home from the market after buying some things for the Sabbath and when he was by his house, someone came up to him and screamed ‘Allahu Akhbar’ and stabbed him,” said Samama, who is a rabbi based in Strasbourg.
http://www.rt.com/news/356472-france-rabbi-stab-strasbourg/

Now this happened this past Friday.
OK ...the guy didn't die. I guess that's why it's not reported widespread.
Attacker was 'mentally unstable' .....oh really?
This violence is all happening with frequency esp in France.

Germany’s Insurgent Party Leader: Islamist Attacks Require Germans Arm Themselves In Self-Defense            GettyImages-531271228 height=480Getty          by AWR Hawkins21 Aug 2016140
SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTERThe Alternative for Germany (AfD) party’s leader, Frauke Petry, has stressed that Islamist attacks and the July 22nd Munich shooting rampage stand as proof that German citizens need to be allowed to arm themselves for self-defense. Petry said she opposes new controls on weapons in the country as proposed by officials. She has intimated that it should easier for citizens to own guns for self-defence.
According to Reuters, Petry said, “Many people.......
...... are increasingly feeling unsafe. Every law-abiding citizen should be in a position to defend themselves, their family and their friends. We all know how long it takes until the police can get to the scene, especially in sparsely populated places.” Of course seconds count, even in densely populated areas where police response time is short. Breitbart News highlighted this following the July 22 Munich attack, when an eye witness who spotted the attacker said, “If I had a gun I would have shot him.”
Germany has some of the strictest gun control laws in Europe, including universal background checks and bans on entire categories of firearms.
The New York Times reports that would-be gun or ammunition owners must also obtain “a certificate that proves you know how to handle both the weapon and its ammunition. You must prove that you can store it safely, in a place to which only you, as the owner, have access.”

very happy to have a ban on this type of garment in Australia as well  :D

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-18/burkini-australian-designer-mystified-by-french-ban/7764422

this lady above in the link would be a muslim  id guess saying this below

Quote
She said the idea the garments were a symbol of female oppression was misguided.

"It's symbolising freedom, healthy living, confidence; it's symbolising a choice that [these women] make," she said, adding that not all her customers were Muslims.

she may think it an expression of womens independence , however I sincerely doubt these ladies would be allowed to do otherwise without some sort of reprisals from Islamic men , be it  their husbands , fathers or other male muslim family members

I understand banning burkinis at pools, for hygienic reasons, but who cares about the ocean?  It's silly.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Mo Farrah won two gold medals for team GB - as he did at the last Olympics...

He is not the only person with non UK roots / background whose endeavours were roundly praised ..

If this is 'the end of Europe' ...I for one appreciate those who have embraced life in the UK. France, etc., who are happy to win the medals ....

I don't quite 'get' the hygiene part..  It's the same material used in other bathing outfits, just more of it or?

That is why. More material of any kind =less hygienic. That's why tshirts are banned at pools.

http://www.conwy.gov.uk/doc.asp?cat=8548&doc=27953

Seems more of a safety issue.. hmm.. will have to remember that in our pool.. I can see some kid maybe getting stuck on the bottom of one of the ladders wearing one although the chances are very slim getting caught up in it.

Also a thought.. a wet t-shirt is quite heavy and makes it much more difficult to swim..

Crazy stuff happening over there.  I understand a lot of the terrorist were citizens, but it does seem the amount of violence increased after the refugee crisis was in full swing.

English summary and links here  http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-21/german-government-urges-citizens-stockpile-food-water-first-time-cold-war-ended

"A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said the plan would be discussed by the cabinet on Wednesday and presented by the minister that afternoon. He declined to give any details on the content."
