Yes a lot of Mongol/Tatar DNA in Ukraine and south Russia.

Turkic people also came from Mongolia and are related to Tatars in that way.

The Greeks who might have had a colony near Odessa were certainly a different type of people and I don't think it is possible they could have left any genetic imprints (to few and to long ago).

Interestingly the plague (Black Death) was spread by Geonese traders from Feodosya in Crimea to the rest of Europe. It was the first use of biological warfare. The besieging Tatars had to lift the siege of Feodosya and before going they catapulted some dead men infected with plague into the city. The Geonese inside to fort and their rats got infected and took the infection with them to European ports.

2 tall you are absolutely right, I meant Western Ukraine speaks mostly Ukrainian and Eastern Ukraine is mainly Russian.

Still the point is that the Cossack areas are mainly in Central and Eastern Ukraine rather then the Western Ukraine while pure Ukrainian women would be mostly in the Western and non-cossack areas.

Pure Ukrainian? What about Poland then? ;) Lvov used to be Polish town and a huge part of Western Ukraine was a part of Austrian-Hungarian Empire :)

But it's may be off-topic already :)

Hello,

This thread hit me in the head..lol

Since I've only been to Russia once and Ukraine once I found a large amount of differences but not too large and also my memory may be exaggerated a bit.
It seems to me that the women in Russia are....okay maybe I can word it better later as not to receive a clure bat..lol

So as expected much of the so called imbalance in between male:female population is after the age of 65.
Even in the 15-64 group if you divide in smaller groups like 15-25, 25-35 etc. You are going to see that the younger age groups don't show any excess of females v. males.
Sorry gays thouse who want to take advantage from the excess of women is FSU c/w men will need to find a babushka :)

Hey, my wife's a pretty hot babushka, since I have two granddaughters, so maybe it's not such a bad idea.

XD40, interesting figures. Let's see what we (or, to be more precise - you ;)) have in the USA:

Age structure: (2006 est.)

0–14 years: 20.4% (male 31,095,847; female 29,715,872)
15–64 years: 67.2% (male 100,022,845; female 100,413,484)
65 years and over: 12.5% (male 15,542,288; female 21,653,879)
Population growth rate: 0.91% (2006 est.)

Well? ;) Can somebody find 10 differences? ;) Figures are much bigger of course, but the essence is the same - in childhood there are more boys, then there are more girls :)

Exactly: it is the same
There is no demographic excess of young women in FSU
Only more are available to older Western men :)

How could I miss such a topic

:P my fav ahahah

Ukraine and Russian women are different

absolutely they are , to my mind

You can try and compare them but there is nothing to compare cos they are different

I got a live example the wife of my uncle who is ukrainian, she is not my native, it is my uncle who is the brother of my dad he lives in Rostov on Don ,so I feel absolutely not connected to her, and could never think of her as my relative, cos she was always competing with my amazing kind honest , hardworking mamita(mother)

she is very bossy and my uncle lost his oppinion at all , I do not know how he lives.....

it is so bad to judge people only by one person it is just since childhood I remember she was evil , crazy always envious and always wanted presents from Moscow

I am getting rid of the prejudice I know am wrong in judging them , but it is hard work to see them in the other light

and I advise foreign guys to go for Ukrainians go go go  for them , they meet your requirements much  more than Russian women:P

And you want to suggest that the majority of Ukrainian women are like that while the majority of Russian women are kind, decent and honest like your mother? :)

Why? because they deserve evil, crazy and greedy women :)

Russian women are dull, expressionless faces, secretive, very jealous, ignorant of good manners, stubborn in the their ignorance, lacking social skills......and in general very insecure and not very pretty. Just plain Jane's.

Ukrainian women, are mostly very attractive, show overt sexuality, fashion conscientious, very secretive, very jealous, better manners but never say please or thank you, same as their Russian sisters, not afraid to use sex as a matter of course to achieve what the want and of course more accessible.

Sure that is true and that is great for you. And similar moms do exist in every country.

WyanB

Sorry for the confusion, I meant guys and not gays since the over supply of women in FSU is in the over 65 group.
