Hi.

I am in a difficult situation. I am married with a russian women since 07. Lately relationship have been difficult but i have/had hopes that we will make it. We live in Norway, scandinavia. I have found out thru her mistakes that she is planning a k1 visa with an american man. When we married we did not change her name and she has been to russia lately for visit family and probebly met this man too. So i guess she started some paperwork from there..I read in the "us goverment" pages that as long as she is married she should not get the visa becauce this is polygamy. How can i stop this? I am not ready for divorce...I still love her..But i want to close this door. Can i translate our wedding document and send for the american goverment, and so i can stop this or how?

Seriously dude, if she has gone this route your marriage is over. Accept it and move on.

I guess the American's here can better answer the K1 question.

Hi again.

There is more to this than just that. First of all if she will go on this visa and she get in trouble in america and then she may tell that she is still married and want back..and ..Is there possible trouble for me if i want to go in america for holiday?..In fact i would like to go this summer for a Harley trip. And i dont know if that man actually know if she is married.. So maybe she is playing him too... I don know. But i do feel that i want to stop this.. Even if we will file for divorce...

Yes, I understand. By all means alert the authorities and the man too if you can; what she has done to you and to him too is plain wrong and there can be no justification for it.

What country is the woman from - Ukraine or Russia?

Also, which country did you marry in - Norway, Ukraine, or Russia?

I know in Ukraine you can get married at Zags but if you do not process the paperwork after the marriage not really legal. She may not have a legal marriage with you in her home country.

I know several AM who lied to USA embassy in Ukraine that they were never married before so they did not have to do the apostle (spelling) thing for marriage in Ukraine. American government never caught lie. My point is American government will probably not care about your situation unless it is a legal marriage in her home country.

Also, do you have a photo of her. Sounds like a girl I know who married a guy in norway and has done a couple K-1's since.

She is russian..Spb woman. Yes ofcourse i have photo..but i will not post it public for all to see..Send me aprivate message or something and i will send..

I thought that the polygamy thing would matter to the us gov..I mean there are probably enough people coming in legally already..

What are the implications for divorce in Norway? If you squeal to the American authorities, they will cancel her K-1 and she will be compelled to return to Norway. Divorce is inevitable. Is it better for a contested divorce in Norway or an uncontested divorce because she abandoned you? I would think the latter.

As far as I'm aware she's only entitled to half of anything gained since the marriage took effect and there's even room for manoeuvre there too if he was the only one paying for house loans etc. She's not entitled to anything he owned before the marriage. I'm not sure if he's liable to support her until she becomes independent or even if she's even entitled to stay in Norway.

I agree. Tarzan should to everything in his power to help this women obtain a divorce from him with a quickness. Get shed of her as "FAST" as you possibly can. Forget the American(s) and forget trying to stop her. She is without any doubt not happy and not into you. The only thing that could be worse in this scenario is that she was doing these things AND "into" you. She is a user and a taker and in all likelihood incapable of love. Life is too short.

Gator, this girl married a guy from Norway in his country. Never filed it in Ukraine so it does not count. She has been to the USA several times on K-1 with rich or supposedly rich guys (some guys lie). I met her when I had to deliver her a car a man in the USA bought for her. She is on face book and Elena Models if anybody is interested. She also goes to Mexico on visa a lot for vacation. This is why I have a negative opinion of Elena's models in Kiev. Every girl I have met like this is on that agency.

Hey Vaughn.

Quite simply put.

If you were never married in Russia or the Ukraine, your wife is not married in her country.

In other words if you divorce, God forbid, and your wife goes home, well she can go to another country (not USA) , with another man (from Germany, France, Norway, etc.) saying she was never married (single) and there is no record of it in the FSU to say otherwise.

Our computers and theirs are not "tied" together.

In GoodOlBoy terminology....A marriage in the GoodOl' USA doesn't mean sh*t in the FSU (unless you register it there).

In the FSU, she's still single. :evil:
