Do RW ever apologize? I never heard her say "I'm sorry".

Finally, yes this subject has been beaten to death. I'm all for letting the chips fall where they may. Anyone who gets involved with an age gap relationship "should" know the score. If he doesn't, that's his problem. Enough of the hand holding or justifications, you're suppose to be a man, and a man has to deal with the consequences...one way or the other.

Anyone with any shred of experience and common sense knows that you CANNOT control a RW.

I have learned two things. Life is very short and that Freedom is not free, it is very expensive and paid for with the blood of my fallen comrades.

It (love) is one thing where we do not need to look at a balance sheet and see if there is profit or not.

It is quite evident that love causes temporary deafness and blindness to people.

Like pretty much every avenue in this pursuit, there's only one person a guy can rely on, and that's himself.

If anything, I have learned, that if I were to start an agency, my target would be gullible, lonely men searching for fantasies as they would provide the greatest profit.

people all over the world are the same, some are friendly to strangers & some are not. some people ignore others, some will make smalltalk to be polite.

IMO, too many (men at least) in this pursuit seem to view this as 'finding a wife' (or husband) and seem to miss the important building blocks of natural relationship growth and maturity.  Perhaps a matter of semantics but with some of the approaches and stories we read, it seems too many put the horse before the cart.

I think many people, particularly those without a previous experience, harbour some false assumptions about marriage. IMO, since marriage is a 'container', an institution, it is neither good nor bad in itself, but rather neutral: it's those 'contained' therein that can make it a spectacular success or a dismal failure. You could spend the whole night arguing whether any institution is good/bad, say schools, but a good school is much more than just walls, equipment, etc. it's its teachers and students that basically make it work, or not.

Although it must be said that marriage is a very effective litmus paper for a relationship, since 24/7 proximity may bring to light the worst in either member's character, now that the 'dressing up for the date' phase is usually over.

Someone said that "If you can tolerate the worst you partner can come up with, then you've got it made", or words to that effect ;).

In terms of finding a better wife, I haven't seen any evidence that Russia is any better than the US. Surely there are more open doors for the average guy, but what they find behind that door more often leads to disaster than it leads to bliss.

Each man must at some time become a warrior, even if the enemy is something inside himself.

Another note to newbies:  When you find Miss Right, make sure that her first name isn’t Always.

No RW, or any woman for that matter, will let you be right all of the time.  I've had to apologize for being right more than once.

You might "think" you're the hunter because you may have initiated the contact, but once you step off the plane you are now in the RW's hunting territory and the roles can change quickly.  IMO, RW are the best hunters in the world.  You may catch one, but only if she wants to be caught by you.

Some RW are more cautious about the future and hence will seek men who can provide financial stability, namely in the form of already having money or already making a handsome income in a stable line of work.  In most cases I don’t consider that a fault as much as a measure of their risk tolerance, especially if they have a young child.  Yet it could masque the spoiled princess who feels entitled to comforts and luxuries.  Buyer beware.

How a woman reacts to a more humble plan tells a lot more about her character than her reaction to extravagant ones.
